You’re invited to join us this summer for our Farm to Fork Dinner; a fully immersive moment in our garden.
This workshop is intended to give you a momentary respite from the everyday and to experience how the garden meets our physical, spiritual and mental health needs.
For the first time, we'll transport your palette to Ghana, my birthplace.
Experience new flavours and combinations, all centred around the ingredients we grow on our urban farm and sourced from Ottawa Valley Farms.
The evening will begin with a behind-the-scenes tour of our market gardens. During the tour, we’ll discuss the spiritual connections we’ve fostered in the garden and how they influence the way we grow. We’ll also discuss how we work to maximize flavour and nutrition in our growing practices
Next, we’ll sit down to a 3-course dinner, inspired by traditional Ghanian flavours and what’s in season on the Urban Farm. Each meal highlights freshly harvested ingredients from the farm.
As we enjoy each plate, we’ll discover ways to rethink how we eat by incorporating more plants in our everyday meals and changing our relationship with cooking.

Appetizer: Ghanian Inspired Salad with English-style Salad Cream (Contains Dairy & Eggs)
A bed of farm-grown baby lettuce topped with corn, shaved carrots, onions, tomatoes, and eggs paired with house-made dressing.
Main: Traditional Ghanian Jollof Rice with Beef Kebab & Sweet Plaintain (Contains Meat)
Authentically seasoned rice, with charred Ottawa Valley beef kebabs, alongside fried ripe plantain.
Dessert: Coconut Ice Cream Squares
House-made ice cream topped with roasted coconut flakes and seasonal berries

Tucked away on a quiet street, our fully hedged backyard offers a secluded and tranquil setting for workshops, allowing you to feel immersed in nature—despite being in the midst of a suburban neighborhood. We take great pride in welcoming you into our home and gardens, inviting you to experience the beauty and abundance of our little farm.

Street parking is available on either side, as long as driveways and fire hydrants remain clear.
